Her name is Anonymus, she lives on the estate of a well to do landlord and apparently has no desire to return to the world. The photo shows that from the point of view of beautiful natural surroundings the Hermit is to be envied.
To deliberately elect to sleep in something that looks like a bearhole, instead of in a comfortable bed, surrounded by all the accessories of civilization, is clearly not the action of an everyday 20th century woman. But then A. is not an everyday 20th century woman. She abominates nothing more than what is termed "civilized life" .
