to the last bits of it.

 

september 4: piled a bunch of kids into the truck after school

and took them to the lake for one last swim before the weather started to turn.

 

yesterday, the 25th, when the clouds parted,

there was snow on those mountain peaks.

 

(i swam here myself again on the 14th. that was likely the last swim of the summer.)
