the show must go on

the least likely weekend of the summer, historically, to rain.

it did this year.

volunteers showed up just after dawn,

happily hanging quilts as the drizzle turned into a full downpour,

covering all the quilts with thin plastic sheeting,

just enough to protect and still allow the quilts to be viewed.

by noon it was sunny with blue skies and near 90 degrees.
