the big kids

the last few days together..

we can all feel it coming.

and then suddenly they're packing up,

we're squeezing a few last things we didn't get to (painting toenails)

then saying tearful goodbyes in the driveway,

and they're on to their next adventures,

and us, on to the next round of cousins.

everyone a couple of years older the next time we're all together again.
