at the crossroads

the overlap of visitors.

tearful goodbyes to C's step brother and family after two weeks together.

warm welcoming of his real brother and family for the next two weeks.

even my own brother came through town for a few short hours in the midst of it all.

 

then more: friends, more family. then school starts (boo hoo).

 

FULL ON.

 

i can't say there haven't been any meltdowns. (me!)

mostly it's been crazily good.

there's a distinct lack of sleep, an abundance of sugar, and little down time, alone time.

 

this is how it is when you live where others want to come for vacation.

 

ultimately, we're lucky, or we would see each other even more seldom.

 

this way, we all reconnect, and the kids get to know their cousins from away.

 

let the mayhem continue...
