sheep trade
Daisy is originally from a Rambouillet ranch in the southern part of the state,
but she was a bottle lamb and thus culled (marked as such by the cut in her left ear).
She then belonged to a young teenage girl as part of a 4-H project.
Last year we bought her, along with another Rambouillet ewe.
The other was butchered last fall.
Daisy was bred with "Snowman", our Merino ram.
These are her first two lambs, both males.
They were listed for sale the day after they were born,
but we're certain to have them around for this cutest of stages
until they are weaned.
(By the way, I just washed up and spun a small sample of Daisy's fleece this week. Buttery soft and white as snow!)
