elderberry

A friend brought me two more HUGE bags full of bunches of elderberries.

Oh my. And I thought I was starting to see a glimmer of light at the end of the putting-things-up tunnel.

 

2 movies late last night + another hour or so listening to radio this morning,

and they were all stripped off their stems.

Now the second of two batches is in the steamer canner.

6 pints of juice have been canned so far,

minus honey, this time, because we don't have enough right now.

I'll add that later when we're ready to use it.

The pulp will then go into the dye pot for another round of dyeing.
