field trip

OK so it wasn't only that it was the first really nice and sunny day in a couple of weeks,

there were a couple of ulterior motives for making a day trip last Friday

(the very next day following our trip up into the mountains in the snow!),

a two hour drive away to the Libby Dam and the Kootenai Falls:

 

1. So that I could gather elderberries that grow abundantly in that area for making elderberry syrup.

2. So that I could check the thrift store in the next town over for fabric. It did not disappoint.
