The huckleberry bushes were still covered in berries on October 12th and in the snow!
I was definitely wearing the wrong boots, having to be careful not to slip-slide in the snow and spill the berries and my feet were quite damp in the end.
Prepared in every other way, with 6 layers on top, long wooly knee-highs, woolen hat and mittens.
And Great Uncle Henry's berry picker, perfect for these conditions with either no leaves or ones that fall right off the bush when combing the bushes for berries.
