R was at soccer practice. It's nearly dark when they're done now at 7:30.
We got a late start picking, too, as we stopped along the highway for an injured deer. C walked down driveways, knocking on doors until he found someone with a rifle he could borrow to put it out of its misery.
We saw several deer bee lining it across the highway towards the orchard on our way out of there, heading to see if there was any more fruit left for them. I'm sure they found plenty still.
