'choco',the darkest ewe in the back appears to have been laboring mildly throughout the day, and the shortest, most rotund one in the middle, 'petunia',seems to be following suit!!
this pic is from last week when temps were hovering around zero and the wind roared wildly for a day and a half.
on days such as that we've been keeping the ewes and the chickens both inside and letting the horses into a pen where they can find more shelter from the cold. Everybody gets bigger food rations on those days as well.
while the sun is shining now and the temps are around 32 degrees and the air is still, today these girls are penned up indoors so we may keep and eye on them.
