fairy ring

friends of ours posted this week on fb that they're gathering & eating "fairy ring" mushrooms.

 

there are numerous rings right now out in our field right now.

 

i've looked them up, both online and in a mushroom field guide, and am fairly certian they are Marasmius oreade, an edible mushroom, but i don't feel comfortable enough trying them without a positive identification.
