C's mom is taking each of her 7 grandsons on a trip when they are 10 years old.
Last month we took him out of school and she took R to visit a cousin in New Mexico who is studying to be an astrophysicist and has access to observatories there. Amongst othger things, they stayed up late looking at galaxies and nebulas and such, some of them millions of light years away. They visited museums, rock and mineral collections, the The Very Large Array and White Sands National Monument.
They built a rocket together, firing it off out in the desert.
Here is its debut launching back here at home at the Solstice/Father's Day Hoopla.
