autumn colour week :: purple

kale is amazing stuff.

 

these started as the saddest looking, scrawniest little seedlings, started indoors by our neighbor who's never gardened before and transplanted into the garden towards the end of may,

and then suddenly they just took off!

 

6+ people have been eating out of this patch for about three months now.
