Junco pair 1
Best seen large and in sequence 1 through 3.
This pair had a nest down on the ground amongst an overgrown mix of yarrow, garlic, and raspberries. They would use last year's and this year's hops vines as a lookout each time before dropping down to the nest. This is outside the window directly behind the computer monitor I'm sitting at while typing this. Its' been a joy to watch their goings on this spring.
The babies have since flown the nest so I think it's time to go investigate their nesting site.
I think they're dark eyed juncos. Does anyone know for sure?
