snowshoe hare

the bear i saw did not stick around and sit still, like this, for a picture.

it did stand up a couple of times and look at me before dropping down and loping off into the woods,

before i had the wherewithal to put on the brakes and grab the camera.

too quick and far away to identify whether it was a grizzly or black bear.
