the day went nothing as planned. it almost never does.
phone tag with the surgeon.
day trip thwarted, postponed for a day.
more spinning took place than expected.
an impromptu lesson in backing up a trailer.
unexpected town errands.
two boys "borrowed" for the day.
mud fights in the ponds
followed by a hosing down and hot showers.
water balloons on the trampoline.
a coconut and a machete.
watermelon and cookies and ice cream.
cheater lemonade* with a splash of raspberry vinegar.

another, this time spiked, out on the porch with the birthday girl.
camper curtain sewing.
late evening spinning at the saloon with the knitters.
short bike ride with e to feed the neighbor dog & cat.
* cheater lemonade: 16 ounce jar santa cruz organic pure lemon juice, 2 cups granulated sugar (the organic unbleached coscto stuff), 16 cups water. stir, chill, drink.
