yet another, and hopefully the last, surgery,

with several days in the hospital.

this time, more planned than emergency,

they brought their bikes.

i'm not even taking time off from work.

while there is nothing ho-hum or routine about surgery

still, we know the routine.

 

the same room as the first time,

when e, only 6, crawled into the closet

to get away from it all.
