Mountain Ash / Rowan dyed yarn

Dyed with the leaves and twigs from the wild Mountain Ash / Rowan tree that grows in the mountains behind our place. The yarn was premordanted with alum and the yarn was dyed in an unseasoned iron pot.

The dyebath smelled sweet, like almond syrup you'd put in coffee. So nice!
