today's all-school ski trip to the mountain was cancelled - again -

due to extreme winter conditions;

windchill factors dipping down to -30s F,

most of the lifts were shut down anyways,

and schools down that way were cancelled

due to blizzard-like wind and visibility.

 

that's o.k.

instead of chaperoning,

we ended up with a bonus freeform day at home

with no particular responsibilities or plans.

 

c got a rare day out in the cabinet shop.

i stayed close to the fire, spinning,

and keeping an eye on the canner's pressure gauge (pinto beans).
