Wisps of Aurora
I always keep an eye on the Aurora "just in case" it ever gets strong enough to see in Jersey. It rarely does, but last night I read that there was a solar flare and a possible geomagnetic storm with a kp index of over 8. In NJ the kp needs to be between 7 and 9 for the Aurora to be visible. I jumped in my car and went to the darkest area I know around here, Collier's Mills. Still have a ton of light pollution, but its the best I can do in my area. I could see faint colors of green and pink in the sky, but wasn't even sure of what I was seeing. The camera picked up more than what I could see. This is the first time I have ever even seen any sign of the Aurora
