'Predjudice'
We have all judged, it is in our nature to do so. We are not always conscious of it occurring; it just happens. We cross a street when someone who 'doesn't look quite right' is walking towards us. We frown at those who do not speak in the way we do. We turn our noses up at those who are different. We make preconceived decisions about people before giving them a chance, revealing our undemocratic intolerance for others. We are prejudice creatures through and through and we live in fear of this judgment from others.
I am holding my sisters pet rat in this image. 'Rat' is a word with preconceived connotations associated with it. Dirty, foul, disease, ugly and hate for instance. Non of these above words apply to this rat for he is gentle, cute, friendly and sweet. I was very quick to judge this animal when he came into the house. I was the first to say why on earth would someone want a rat as a pet, and now I say, why wouldn't someone? I judged prior to reason or experience and was proven wrong. We are flawed people and flawed people should not judge the imperfections of others.
