MVW 2018 ITALY- 2ND RUNWAY CHALLENGE (Memole Giha)
For this theme Memole wants to represent the ancient myth of the sea monster "Cariddi", from Sicily, Italy, which was originally a naiad and was born from the gods Poseidon and Gea. She was very voracious and one day she ate the oxen of a god and so Zeus strike her by lightening by making it fall into the sea and turning her into a monster with long sharp teeth that devoured everything her found, sucking the sea 3 times a day. Memole is inspired by this but invents a new myth to give life to this theme, assuming the appearance of a beautiful Feathered Snake that has never been represented to the feminine but only to the masculine from the ancient Aztecs. She is regal and beautiful, she has the snake's skin and wears an inlaid golden bra, snake headdress, large black wings and a long tail that simulates the tail of a formal dress, elegant and refined. Seems she went out from a mythological manuscript and what she wears is well represented in this runway with a perfect similarity between high fashion and mythology. Memole is a scary figure, full of rancor whom goes out of her dark cave crawling on the ground and flying over the sea to hunt for food because of her voracity, destroying everything she meets on her way. After all, she is an otherworldly being and the men ... only humans.

Per questo tema Memole vuole rappresentare l'antico mito del mostro marino "Cariddi", proveniente dalla Sicilia, Italia, originariamente una naiade e nata dagli dei Poseidone e Gea. Era molto vorace e un giorno mangiò i buoi di un dio e così Zeus la colpì con un fulmine facendola cadere in mare e trasformandola in un mostro con lunghi denti aguzzi che divorava tutto ciò che trovava, succhiando il mare 3 volte a giorno. Memole si ispira a questo ma inventa un nuovo mito per dare vita a questo tema, assumendo l'aspetto di un bellissimo serpente piumato che non è mai stato rappresentato al femminile ma solo al maschile degli antichi Aztechi. È regale e bella, ha la pelle del serpente e indossa un reggiseno dorato intarsiato, un copricapo di serpente, grandi ali nere e una lunga coda che simula la coda di un abito formale, elegante e raffinato. Sembra uscita da un manoscritto mitologico e quello che indossa è ben rappresentato in questa sfilata con una perfetta somiglianza
tra alta moda e mitologia. Memole è una figura spaventosa, piena di rancore, che esce dalla sua oscura caverna strisciando per terra e volando sul mare a caccia di cibo a causa della sua voracità, distruggendo tutto ciò che incontra sulla sua strada. Dopotutto, lei è un essere ultraterreno e gli uomini...solo umani.
