The Legend of Canewdon Church
Inter-dimensional Beings, Aliens, Demons, and Ghosts, not to mention Time portals, Witchcraft & the Devil himself have plagued this Church and nearby Village since the Middle Ages with no sign of these activities diminishing anytime soon !
Canewdon, in Essex, is one of the most haunted places in the U.K. and perhaps even in the World. The village has been long associated with real-life documented wealthy and powerful Witches. The 12th Century Church is said to be on an Inter-dimensional "Time" portal and legend has it said that if you run round the Church in an anti-clockwise direction on Halloween a total of three times, you will travel backwards in time. Another tradition still practiced today to the annoyance of the parish priest is the occult black masses at the deadness of night or the witching hour if you prefer. The church patrons have never shared the priests objections, now or in the past and do not wish to put in any secure measure to stop this out of fear or terror for their families safety in this accursed sleepy village. One practice at the Church is the invocation of a female novice seeking membership of the dark coven.
