Playdate Recap
The day before the girls left for Fenwick, we attended an informal party
for their preschool class. It was organized by Tessa's mom and was held
at a water park in Ladera Ranch. Betsy was working that day, so she
couldn't go. The water park consisted of a huge jungle gym in the
middle of a large wading pool (the water was never deeper than 2 feet).
At the top of the wading pool was a huge, 300-gallon bucket (see here)
that would fill with water and then tip over, dousing everyone
underneath it. Naturally, Erin loved this part, but Megan didn't care
for it.
On the whole, the girls kinda stayed to themselves or hung with me. The
only time they really played with their friends was during lunch (there
was pizza and everyone brought some little snack or drink). That night,
Erin was running a pretty high fever, which may have accounted for her
lack of enthusiasm. But, it was fun to see all of their classmates one
last time. Even though the girls should be going back in the fall, a
large number of their class is moving onto kindergarten.
