As soon as I secured my historic shot I dashed over the footbridge & positioned myself at the front drop light for a singularly unique event-departing my home town behind a Tractor. 37093 gets into it's stride passing Leicester North Box & the impressive array of signals with the 1ZXX 0815 Hinckley-Whitby 'Merrymaker' adex on Sunday 3rd July 1983. The sheer volume of mechanical signalling hardware on the ground is staggering. Over on the right Leicester MPD hosts another relatively rare English Electric product in the shape of a Class 40.
