August brought some much needed 37 action to East Midlands Summer Saturdays in 1981 & none more so that the 1st of the month when Bristol Bath Road's 37295 found itself a long way from home on a Tinsley 31 diagram. Surprisingly for such a huge beast there is not a lot of interest on or off the train as it rolls the 1J24 1250 Skegness-Sheffield into a deserted Lincoln Central. This was my second new 37 of the day having just scored 37073 to here on the 1P14 0835 Newcastle-Yarmouth.
