There are probably as many stars in the sky as there are photographs of the Eiffel Tower, but here’s one contribution from me… I made this on a recent trip to Paris, where the only analogue camera I took was my LC-A.

The film was exposed at box speed, and I used Bellini Hydrofen, a new version of Rodinal Special/Studional which is available in the UK from Nik and Trick Photographic Services of Folkestone. Inverted with my usual ColorPerfect workflow.

I’m pleased how this photo of one of the telescopes on the second floor of the tower turned out. I am getting better at the zone focussing method which the LC-A uses, although the fastest film that it’s possible to use in the camera also helped.

I am more surprised at just how sharp the LC-A’s lens is, and the auto exposure system works very nicely. This photo does show the charming distortions that are typical of the camera. I’ll be scanning some of the other images on the roll at some point, and I am definitely wanting to use the camera more!
