Cut toms

Cut shell sound test.

Equipment used: Sennheiser E604 & SM57 on toms. Presonus Digimax pre. Compression & Eq added to mix. Motu 2408mk3 & cuebase.

 

My goal was to cut down a set of extra toms I had to make dragging gear around Ny city easier while still maintaining a good sound.

Considering that these remo heads are about 8 years old and very used I think the cut shells sound great. A fresh set of heads and the tone will be even better.

Done
