i reach for beauty every step of the way

the world has so much very ugly to say.

but to dwell in what life has not

given to me,

is to render myself captive,

and i need to be free.

so i look at the bright side,

and yes, i do smile.

finding funny and happy,

i much prefer this style.

no reason to focus,

repeat or regret

that which is immutable

has not gotten to

me yet.
