The Fries in me wanted to grieve.

But the Freeze in me wanted to avenge her.

 

It had been a week, since I had laid the shovel into the frost-bit soil, my head ached from the exposure to the brief spring heat of Gotham. I knew Batman's lackeys would not be affected by the death of their savior, their messiah; The one who would bring Gotham back to its peaceful roots, but this city hunts down any glimmer of hope, treats it like a cold, hard plague.

 

My throat felt like the burning hot furnaces of the local steel mill, but I carried on, I knew I had to get up sooner or later.

 

I will take back my place as freezing lord of Gotham,
