Reflected_Deconstruction
Camera: 4x5 box made of foamcore board (homemade)
Lens: Seven pinholes in tinfoil (homemade pinhole sieve)
Film: Ilford HP5, ISO 400, 4x5
Developer: Rodinal 1+100
Contrast corrected and toned in Photoshop
This shot was taken on and for World Pinhole Photography Day, my first experience participating with this world event. Here in Minnesota (we were shooting in St. Paul's lower East side), it was 37 degrees fahrenheit, raining cats and dogs, with a prevailing wind of about 12 knots. In other words: Crazy cold. But, it was still a ton of fun because I was with a crazy group of guys dedicated to one purpose: To practice the art and science of photography.
Since it was raining, the film got "water stained," hence the weird lines. The blurriness is due to using multiple pinholes, rather than just one. Also, I've been tube processing my 4x5 sheet film, which I may have to reevaluate because I can see uneven development "marks" on the negs.
