Haunting and melancholic, shipwrecks hold a particular fascination for me.
Technical: Nikon D850, Nikkor 16-35mm f/4 VR @16mm, f/11, ISO 64, 30 seconds. 0.9 NISI medium grad with 6 stop ND filter. Area: Inverness, California. Shooting notes: my second attempt to photograph this beautiful wreck just north of San Francisco on a day when the coastline was shrouded in a blanket of mist. Shot from a very low perspective to emphasize the sweep of the bow without cutting off the bridge windows, I had maybe 15 or 20 minutes of good light as the sun began to break through. Interestingly, Point Reyes lighthouse nearby was used in the classic John Carpenter movie, The Fog which, as you may guess from the title, isn’t a RomCom.
For those of you with a few minutes to listen, this remains one of my favourite pieces of music. As I edited the image, it seemed to fit with the mood of the scene.

Have a great week, Flickrites :-)
