My setup for the Stobist Lighting 102 Assignment "Umbrella Specular Portrait".

 

All walls at home are painted with a flat finish. I was looking around the house and the best reflective backdrop I could find was ... the top of my dining table ... bear in mind it weights close to 200 lbs ;-)

 

The flash is Canon 340EX, shot through white umbrella at camera right as you can see.
