Railway Station but never a train - 1 - Dartmouth

The engineer was a bloke called Brunel. So they say, they built the railway station and then set about trying to build the railway line to it. Unfortunately a bridge was required across the Dart to connect the station to the rest of the UK railway network at Paignton, Devon. Their Lordships of the Admiralty objected so the line was never built and to this day trains stop at Kingswear, a short ferry ride away.
