American Goldfinch (Spinus tristis) Community Garden, Kelowna Rec Field, Kelowna, BC.

 

Can't be sure of the gender or maturity of this bird and others in the series at this time of year. Was hoping that bill colour might be a clue; turns out it's not. Here's an interesting piece on why:
