Tricolored Blackbird ? -04

Near the main parking lot at Iona, for several years now, RWBLs have become accustomed to being hand fed. This is not, I think, the Buddy of 2014, but a descendent, perhaps, who now occupies the same territory. I'm pretty sure this is not a Tricolored Blackbird, based on his vocals and the sheer improbability of a TRBL being found in BC (I can find no record of anyone else claiming such). Still, his epaulette is quite different from what I'm used to both in birds at The Coast, in the Interior, and across Western Canada, particularly in the most often reported ID feature of TRBLs — the very white band below the red flash. Would be interested in anyone else's thoughts on this bird.

The hand, by the way, belongs to my wife....
