Ramrod Jack, Eastern Kingbird (Tyrannus tyrannus) -11
Thomson Marsh, Kelowna, BC.
A rose by any other name....
As I mentioned, in a previous post, Jack is the "friendliest" EAKI I've ever encountered. My only frustration is that in his preferred perch, a wild rose bush right on the Marsh path, the light is usually behind him; I have neither the equipment nor the skill to deal adequately with it. That said, however, I find his trust and interaction so heartwarming that I'm coming to think I no longer need to keep trying to photograph "it" — "it" cannot be captured in any light!
