Commemorating the Coronation of KGV
This interesting and pleasing on the eye piece of memorial-type stonework looks as though it's of some religious significance at first glance but in fact it was erected to celebrate the Coronation of King George the 5th. It's on Aughton Village Green (called Holt Green by locals?). It was of course the host of golden daffodils surrounding it that caught my eye. Aughton, West Lancashire, UK.
