Two-storey stone tenement house on Alauksta Street in Grīziņkalns area of Riga, Latvia. September 8, 2022

The house was built for Marija Upītis (née Rudzītis), the widow of a master mason Dāvis Upītis. Architect Aleksandrs Vanags; the construction was completed on 30 September 1910. The building provides a four-room apartment for the owner and four one-room rental apartments. National Romantic style house with Finnish architectural features. Ground floor (parterre) gateway with imitated ancient arch, an ancient Scandinavian door in the depth of which - lacquered, with viewing portholes in the form of leather runes. The doors are in two parts, the metal fixings in the sashes are reinforced with rivets.
