Anno 1895: tenement house with stores on Aleksandra Čaka Street in central Riga, Latvia. September 29, 2021

Architect K. J. Felsko. Initially, a property of the merchants' Wolf Minsker and Benzion Katzenellenbaum built at the site of the K. J. von Wöhrmann beverage factory. In the 1920s, the poet Jānis Medenis lived here. In the late 1920s and early 1930s, the candy factory "Vulkan" was in operation (owned by Gershon Minsker). Also the site of J. Gelbe's fruit syrup and vinegar manufacturing company, later M. Eglitis' fruit sugar and artificial honey manufacturing company. At that time, the building also housed shops and craft workshops, including M. Kaganers' knitting shop, O. Treinins' bakery, the ladies' clothing shop "Balodīts", Z. Rodmanis' (formerly D. Gurevičius') Ladies' Clothing House, S. Hofenšefer's, and later M. Kaganers' ladies' clothing and lingerie shop, H. Ogints' fashion shop, paper and grocery shops.
