Building of Faculty of Business, Management and Economics of the University of Latvia. Riga, Latvia. September 1, 2020

The construction of the building began in the summer of 1902, and in the autumn of 1904 the Riga Telegraph moved to the new premises; a little later - the Post Office. The building was built according to the project of the civil engineer Lev Novikov, the architect of the Main Post and Telegraph Board. The construction work was supervised by the architect of Riga J. Pfeifer, but after his death - by architect V. Lunskis. From 1932 to 1944, the Riga Radio (radio broadcasting) was also located here. Over time, various styles emerged as a result of the restoration and reconstruction of the building - the late eclecticism of the early 20th century, the neoclassicism of the 1930s, and the post-war Stalinist Empire style.
