Rosie - stranger 382
A trip into Nottingham gave me the opportunity to add to my stranger project. As I walked round a corner, I spotted a young lady standing by a black door. Her red hair really stood out against this dark background so I went over and introduced my project to her.
Rosie said she’d heard of the project, or one similar to it, and said one of her friends had been photographed for it.
At first Rosie didn’t want to be photographed as she said she wasn’t looking her best, but when I pointed out how great she looked against the black door she said, “go on then.”
The sun was quite bright but didn’t cause any problems, such as reflections in Rosie’s glasses. The wind was more troublesome, blowing Rosie’s hair every-which-way.
I didn’t get to find out any information about Rosie as her taxi turned up just as I finished taking her photograph, so she had to dash off as the car was blocking the road.
Thank-you Rosie for saying yes to being photographed. I hope you like your portrait.
This picture is number 382 in my 100 Strangers project, yes, I’ve decided to do a fourth round. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
This is my 353rd submission to the Human Family Group. To view more street portraits and stories visit www.flickr.com/groups/thehumanfamily/
