Surreally colored Gion

An unusually vibrantly coloured alley in Gion, Kyoto.

 

Curious mixture of red and green lighting against a deep blue night sky.

 

If you look closely, you will spot the little figurine of Shoki-san just above the eaves at the nearest entrance.
