Peak on the Weymouth

On 11th July 1987 the 09:55 Weymouth to Newcastle service has 45149 as traction, 1E63 is seen here at Sonebridge, Durham, as an HST heads South. This service was the Poole to Newcastle service, which was extended to start from Weymouth on Summer Saturdays, for holiday traffic. By this time the Peaks had lost their regular employment on Trans-Pennine work to 47/4s, the South Coast train was still a regular duty for them though.
