This was a Friday only Carlisle Yard to Tyne Yard service, which had quite a variable consist, it was a reasonable bet for a BRCW Type 2 as there was usually at least one available at Carlisle and it would be returned as Tyne Yard crew had no traction knowledge of the type. This was 24th June 1988, seen at Low Fell, Gateshead, the load was a Class 08 shunter and a mix of permanent way wagons hauled by 26041, carrying the West Highland Terrier emblem of Eastfield Depot. The 26 lasted till late November 1992 and was cut up by MC Metals of Glasgow in March 1995.
