Park GΓΌell.

 

Built from 1900 to 1914 and was officially opened as a public park in 1926.

 

In 1984, UNESCO declared the park a World Heritage Site under "Works of Antoni Gaudi".

 

Originally designed as a private housing district however, this failed hence re-purposed into a public park.

 

The Hall of Columns which supports the great square & the vaulted ceiling representing an abdomen decorated with magnificent medallions of polychromed ceramic.

 

The Hall of Columns was meant to be a market place according to the original housing plans designed by Gaudi.
