~BLUES MARATHON~

"It turned out to be a perfect day for the 5th annual Mississippi Blues Marathon Saturday.

I don't remember the exact count....but there were over 2,500 runners representing 45

states and 10 foreign countries."

"These guys were at the 10th mile mark with more than 16 miles to go. Many of them

said they were surprised that there were so many hills in Jackson. So, as they came by,

we began to sing out, 'downhill ahead!', which never failed to bring on a smile!"
