Northern parula, singing his heart out

These birds (Setophaga americana) are ultra-abundant in south Florida this time of year but generally breed north of here, from northern Florida and the southeast, up along the Atlantic statees and southern-eastern Canada. Their song is very distinctive and fills the woods now, but they are normally difficult to see, as they favor thick foliage 30-40 feet up and back from walking woodland paths. Nonetheless, one male favored us today by dropping down to eye level in a sapling only 4-5 feet off the path. Best situation I've ever had for taking a photo.
