Tennessee warbler (female)
Fall migrants have been passing south through NH for many weeks now. The latest species to appear on Airport Road is the Tennessee warbler (Leiothlypis peregrina), a handsome but modestly attired species. This gal and her friends were part of a mixed flock dominated by black-capped chickadees foraging in the roadside woods and thickets. They are not as frequently observed in this area as other warblers, such as their noisy relatives, the pine warblers that dominated this scene for the past several weeks.
